Born at Nottingham and lived at 6, Cremorse Crescent, Nottingham. Husband of Millicent Newton. He enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action, 17th July 1916, whilst in the line south-east of Trones Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
