Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Edwin Adam and Mary Neail, of 9, Petersham Street, Nottingham. He enlisted at Nottingham and went to France August 1915 and was reported as being wounded in the Nottingham Evening Post 11th September 1917. Was awarded the M.M. (Military Medal), London Gazette Date 14th January 1918 and was killed in action, 25th March 1918, whilst in the line at Herbecourt, France.
