Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Alfred Nathan, of 54 Coal Pit Lane, Nottingham. Husband of Lois Nathan, of 10, Upper Eldon Street, Nottingham. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 6th August 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 3rd May 1915 and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, during the attack at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
