Son of Betsy Morrison, of 111 Derbyshire Lane, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Stepbrother of George Ordish, of 78, Beurdall Street, Hucknall. He was a coal miner prior to enlistment with the 2nd Battalion 3rd April 1912 at Nottingham. He went to France 11st November 1914 and was appointed Lance Corporal 9th April 1915. He suffered shell wounds to his armpit and back 10th August 1915 and was admitted to No.26 General Hospital at Etaples. He died of wounds 18th August 1915.
