Born in Nottingham and lived at 4 Simmonds Terrace, Westminster Street, St. Anns Well Road, Nottingham. Son of William and Harriet Morris, of 48, Duncombe Street, St. Anns Well Road, Nottingham. He enlisted at Nottingham and was attached to the 1st Lincolnshire Regiment. He was killed in action, on 14th July 1916, aged 26.
