Born at Eckington, Derbyshire. Son of William and Jane Alice Morris, of 4 Kings Street, Hodthorpe, near Whitwell, Derbyshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting. He was killed in action, on 29th May 1917, whilst returning from an advance post, near Loos.
Buried: Loos British Cemetery, France. Plot 19. Row F. Grave 26.
