Born and lived at Aberdeen, Scotland. Son of Robert and Nellie Milne, of 6, Loanhead Terrace, Aberdeen; Husband of Janet Milligan Briggs Milne, of Clifton Villa, Banknock, Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire. He was a joiner prior to enlisting 19th May 19015 at Aberdeen. He went to France and was transferred to the 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 11th January 1917. He died of wounds, 9th June 1917, age 24, at No. 3 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station, Remy Siding, Belgium.
