Born at Wilford, Nottingham and lived at 48, Radnor Street, Nottingham. Son of Matthew and Emma Mills, of 33, Coalville Lane, Nottingham. Husband of Mabel Mills. He was a postman prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 25th February 1915 and was killed in action, 13th March 1917, during the follow-up attack during the German retreat at Gommecourt, France.
