Son of Ellen Cuthbert, of Bank House, 17 Middlesbrough Road, South Bank, Yorkshire. He was a Commercial Clerk prior to enlisting. He was commissioned 26th March 1918 and was killed in action, 18th September 1918, during the attack on the “Quadrilateral” near Holnon, France.
