Born at Walsall, Staffordshire and lived at 7 Wood Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Annie Mayman, of Alberta, Canada. Husband of Mary Ellen Mayman, of 2 Westwood Place, Westfield Lane, Mansfield. He was a dental operator prior to enlisting 8th September 1914 at Mansfield. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 21st April 1915, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
