Battalion : 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Annie Marsh, He was a miner at Pleasley Collier, Nottinghamshire and enlisted at Derby in April 1916. He was killed in action whilst attempting to lay a signal line on the 7th June 1917.
Commemorated : Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. Panel 39 and 41.
