Private Percy Harold Madin

Battalion : 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Walton, Derbyshire and lived at Brampton, Derbyshire. Son of Stephen and Elizabeth Catherine Madin, of 33 Cross Street, Brampton. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting 13th October 1914 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 9th April 1915, aged 23, by German shellfire, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
