Lieutenant John Macpherson

Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Alexander and Mary Macpherson, of 34, Magdala Road, Nottingham. An old Cheltonian. Went to France on 27th October 1915. Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 25, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
