Born at Nottingham and lived at 6, Meredith Terrace, Hawthorne Street, The Meadows, Nottingham. Son of Charles and Frances Love, of 35, Lucknow Street, Nottingham. Husband of Sarah Elizabeth Slater, of 15, Royston Terrace, Hawthorne, Street, The Meadows. He was a town labourer prior to enlisting 7th October 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 24th March 1915 and was killed in action, 15th October 1916, in the attack near Le Transloy, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
