He was born at Nottingham. Son of Frank and Kate Lindsell, of Brookfield Road, Arnold, Nottingham. Husband of Gladys Mary Lindsell, of 24, Burleigh Road, Loughborough. Was a clerk. He enlisted 15th May 1915. Was promoted Sergeant 7th February 1916 and went to France 16th March 1916. He was killed in action during an attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, Somme, France, 10th October 1916, age 27.
