He was born at Nottingham. Son of Frank and Kate Lindsell, of Brookfield Road, Arnold, Nottingham. He was an apprentice in the hoisery trade and enlisted at Nottingham. He was killed in action at Larch Wood on the Ypres Salient 25th June 1917.
