Born and lived at Radford, Nottingham. Lived at 5, Mosley Terrace, Churchfield Lane, Radford, Nottingham. Son of Walter and Sarah Leavesely. He was a lace carriage stationer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and was killed in action, 26th September 1916, aged 21, on the German positions near Ovillers, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
Commemorated : Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
