Born at Nottingham and lived at 5, Wollaton Place, Woolpack Lane, Nottingham. Husband of Annie Lang, of 6, Wilford Cottages, Goodhead Street, The Meadows, Nottingham. He was a threader and enlisted 28th October 1914 at Nottingham. He was killed in action 26th April 1916, whilst attacking 25 North Road and Mount Street Bridge, Dublin, during the Irish rebellion.
Buried: Deans Grange Cemetery, Republic of Ireland. Special Memorial.
