Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Lane, brother of Elizabeth, William, Harry, John, Joy Lillian, and Florence Ena. Was a farm labourer prior to enlisting 8th December 1914. He went to France 14th July 1915 and died of wounds 3rd March 1916.

Commemorated: Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. Panel 39 and 41.
