Son of William Henry and Mary Lakin, 7, Sheridan Street, Nottingham. ; Husband of Florence Rose Harvey (formerly Lakin), of 2, Radford Bridge Road, Old Radford, Nottingham. He was a carter for Thomas Foreman Ltd, Printing Works, Carrington, Nottingham, prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He died of wounds 28th July 1916, aged 23, at Manchester Military Hospital.
