Born At Muzaffarpur, India. Son of Alfred James Kitchen, of 19, Smith Street, New Balderton. He was a plasterer and enlisted 21st October 1914 at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He was killed in action 26th April 1916, age 23, whilst attacking 25 North Road and Mount Street Bridge, Dublin, during the Irish rebellion.

Buried: Balderton (St. Giles) Churchyard, United Kingdom. Row P. Grave 17.
