Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of George William and Nellie King. Husband of Sarah E. King of 38, Redoubt Street, Radford, Nottingham. He was a Coal Miner prior to enlisting on 26th August 1914 at Nottingham. He was appointed Lance Corporal on 18th July 1916, went to France on 1st December 1916 and died of wounds on 13th April 1917.
