Born at Old Whittington, Derbyshire and lived at Brimington, Derbyshire. Son of Arthur and Emily Keeling, of 39, Cotterhill Lane, Brimington. He was an iron moulder prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He went to France 29th August 1915 and was killed in action whilst serving in the line between Montauban and Longueval, France, during the Battle of the Somme.

Died: 12th August 1916, aged 24.
