Born at Nottingham and lived at 13, Craven Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. Son of William and Florence Jepson. He was a lace machine fitter prior to enlisting at Nottingham He was killed in action, 17th July 1916, during the German shelling of the trenches to the south-east of Trones Wood, France during the Battle of the Somme.
