Born at Nottingham and lived at 136, Park Lane, Basford, Nottingham. Son of Harry and Elizabeth Ann Jennings, of 23, Reigate Road, Old Basford. He was a pawn brokers youth prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 17th November 1916, aged 20, whilst in the line near Arras, France.
