Born at Clowne and lived at High Street, Clowne, Derbyshire. Son of Selena Jenkinson, of 16, Mill Street, Clowne; Husband of Mabel Tomlinson (formerly Jenkinson), of 61, North Road, Clowne, Chesterfield. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He was killed in action, 16th September 1916, age 27. during the attack on the German positions at Guillemont, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
