Born at Nottingham and lived at 123 Salisbury Street, Nottingham. Son of John and Kate Newton Jarvis, of 66, Salisbury Street, Nottingham. He was a shop boy prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to Gallipoli 28th August 1915 and was killed in action, 13th November 1915, aged 17, whilst on guard in “Duck’s Nest” Gallipoli.
