Born at Bedford and lived at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Margaret Jackson, of 6, Horace Avenue, Stapleford Husband of Elizabeth Sanders (formerly Jackson), of Field Head, Belper, Derby. He was a lace hand prior to enlisting at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and died from shrapnel wounds, 28th July 1917.
