Born at Eyam, Derbyshire and lived at Stoney Middleton, Derbyshire. Son of Ada and George Jackson, of The Bank, Stoney Middleton. He was a boot clicker in a boot factory prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, on 25th August 1917, during the German attack on the Knoll/Lempire, France.
