Born and lived at Basford, Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Hilda Hutchby of 13 Chard Street, Basford, Nottingham. He was a Sorter in a Hosiery Dye Works prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 28th November 1914 and was killed action whilst serving in the line near Richebourg, France.

Died : 27th January 1915.
