Born and lived at Retford, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Eliza Husband, of 9, Spa Lane, Carolgate, Retford. He was a mill wright’s labourer prior to enlisting 30th March 1914 at Retford. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 24th April 1915, aged 20, by a German trench mortar during a German bombardment of the line near Kemmel, Belgium.
