Private William Ernest Horner

Battalion : 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Alfred J. and Eunice Horner, of 12, Ebers Road, Mapperley Park, Nottingham. He attended High Pavement Grammar School and was employed by Boot the Chemist, Nottingham prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 27th October 1915 and died, 13th March 1917, aged 20, at No. 43 Casualty Clearing Station, Warlincourt, France, from wounds received in the follow-up attack on the German line near Gommecourt, France.
