Born and lived at South Reston, Lincolnshire. Son of Barnabas Hoodless, of South Reston. He enlisted at Lincoln and died, 14th February 1917, aged 41, at 9th Casualty Clearing Station, Contay, France.

Buried: Contay British Cemetery, Contay, France. Plot 7. Row F. Grave 3.
