Born and lived at South Normanton, Derbyshire. Son of Mary Hodkin, of 15, King Street, South Normanton. Husband of Hilda Hodkin, of Birchwood Lane, South Normanton. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting and went to France 30th August 1915. He died of phthisis (tuberculosis) 12th May 1920, aged 30.
