Enlisted at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Was awarded the M.M. London Gazette 21st October 1918 “For gallantry when in action at St. Sisto Ridge, Italy on 15th June 1918” Was killed in action at Guizancourt Farm, France, 5th October 1918, age 26.
