Born at Donnington, Shropshire and lived at 68 Aston Road North, Birmingham. Son of Charles Robert and Sarah Hinckesman of Vine Cottage, Shucknall, Herefordshire. Husband of Pollie Alice Hinckesman, of 44, St. Peter’s Road, Handsworth, Birmingham. He enlisted at Birmingham 7th December 1915 and was transferred to the 5th Reserve Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 15th December 1916. He went to France 16th December 1916 and was killed in action, 3rd May 1918, age 34, whilst out on a wiring party, near Vaudricourt, France.
