Born at Fulnetby, Lincolnshire and lived at Nettleham Lodge Farm, Nettleham, Lincolnshire. Son of Samuel and Rebecca Hill, of Sudbrook, Lincoln. He was a horseman prior to enlisting at Lincoln. He was killed in action, 3rd October 1917, whilst Battalion was in the area of Locre, Belgium.
Buried: Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium. Enclosure No.4 Plot 8. Row B. Grave 21.
