Born at Dudley, Staffordshire, and lived at Sandiacre, Derbyshire. Son of William and Patience Higham, of Bermondsey, South London. Brother of Ada Winfield. Grandson of Thomas and Caroline Jones, of Starch Lane, Sandiacre, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Derby and went to France on 14th July 1915. He died of wounds on 12th March 1916.
