British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Nottingham. Son of William and Stepson of Sarah Hicking, of 16, Bramcote Place, Willoughby Street, Lenton, Nottingham. He was a town carter prior to enlisting 27th August 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 3rd May 1915 and was killed in action, 19th January 1916, by German shellfire whilst serving in the line near St. Jean, Belgium.
