Born at Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire and lived at Tunstead Milton, Derbyshire. Son of Albert Allen and Annie Elizabeth Heather, of Tunstead Milton. He was a packer at Chilworth Gunpowder Company prior to enlisting 8th February 1911 at Chapel-en-le-Frith. He went to France 28th February 1915 and died of wounds, 4th July 1915, at 43rd Field Ambulance.
