Son of John and Emma Heathcote, of 3, St. Helens Street, Chesterfield.

Killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 24, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
