Lieutenant William Victor Hawken

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hawken, of 12, Chichester Street, Westminster, London. He served in the London Irish Regiment as a platoon sergeant. He went to Inns of Court Officers Training Corps in 1914 and was commissioned into the 7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters early in 1916, joining the 2/7th Battalion at Watford. He was killed in action 26th April 1916, age 31, whilst advancing on the rebel positions at 25 Northumberland Road, Dublin during the Irish Rebellion.
