Private Herbert Hattersley

Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Herbert and Emma Augusta Hattersley, of 80, Alfreton Road, Nottingham. Went to France on 25th February 1915. Killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 18, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
