Son of Mrs Shepperson (Formerly Hatherley), of 7, Cromwell Street, Carlton, Notts; Husband of Lucy Cox (Formerly Hatherley), of 6, Slea Cottages, West Banks, Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Went to France on 14th July 1915. Killed in action 5th July 1916, aged 30, in support of the attack on the German positions at Fricourt/Fricourt Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
