Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of John Henry and Isabella Hastings, of 18 Hubert Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. He was an errand boy prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 27th September 1917, during the attack at Wieltje, Belgium.
