Born in Nottingham and lived at 17, Meden Bank, Stanton Hill, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Mr J. Harrison, of Nottingham; Husband of Anne Huffen (formerly Harrison), of Victoria Yard, High Street, Stanton Hill. He was a fitter prior to enlisting on 27th April 1915 at Mansfield. He was posted to the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and went to Gallipoli on 13th September 1915. He was taken ill and was admitted to the 33rd Field Ambulance at Ballah, Egypt. He went to France on 28th June 1916 and was admitted to 35 Field Ambulance suffering a hydrocele (swollen scrotum), on 25th July 1916. He was transferred to the 1st General Hospital at Etretat, France and sent to England on Hospital Ship Gloucester Castle, on 2nd August 1916. He was posted to the 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, on 4th August 1916 and returned to France on 22nd May 1917 being posted to the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was posted to the 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, on 15th June 1917 and died of wounds on 15th September 1917, aged 25.
