Lance Corporal Albert Harry Harrison

Battalion : 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Loughborough, Leicestershire and lived at Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Son of Harry George and Emily Harrison, of Devon House, Mayfield Road, Ashbourne. He was a gas fitter for Ashbourne Gas Co. prior to enlisting 6th March 1913 at Ashbourne. He was appointed Lance Corporal 26th September 1914, went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 9th April 1915, aged 19, by German shellfire whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
Buried: Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium. Row E. Grave 52.
