British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Snienton, Nottingham. Son of John Joseph and Kate Harris, of 13, Finsbury Avenue, Sneinton Dale, Nottingham. He was a warehouseman prior to enlisting 6th November 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 9th September 1915, aged 24, whilst in the line near Verdandenmolen, Belgium.
