He was born at Brimington, Derbyshire and lived at 24 New Bridge Street, Whittington Hill, Derbyshire. Son of Mary Parker. He was a pottery labourer prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He was killed in action, 18th May 1917, whilst serving in the line at Cuba Trench near Arras, France.
