Private Robert Hardy

Battalion : 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Samuel and Anne Hardy, of 8, Peas Hill Road, Nottingham. He was a lace maker prior to enlisting 2nd November 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 25th June 1915 and was killed in action, 7th September 1915, aged 18, when the Germans exploded a mine under the trenches at Verbrandenmolen, Belgium.

Buried: Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium. Enclosure No.3 Row A. Grave 14.
